Yes BUT NOT after 11 AM BUMMER!
Maybe for large orders. Definitely not for less than $100
No
Great service, great food, friendly staff. Plus we get to eat on the patio with our dog who seems to travel everywhere with us. My fried shrimp were fresh and without a ton of batter, the fries were hot and crunchy. My daughter had the fish basket and it too was fresh and hot. Definitely a place for return visits!
So cute. Very kind staff. The food is so so good every meal was great. Loved it.
Good food here and the people are really friendly. The mac n cheese bites were my favorite thing. Yummm! The gator burger, my husband said, was good but too mushy.
Food was good. Service was wonderful.
The staff here are kind and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. Cute interior with cool photo opportunities! Food was delicious and delivered hot! Ice cream available as well!
Great place to eat! Decor theme was very fun from the nautical chart table tops to the alligator wearing a bikini. The gator burger was delicious and nicely cooked (I didn't order a bun). I also enjoyed a very tender NY sirloin. Very reasonably priced.
When my family and I were there they seemed overwhelmed and ended up taking our lunch to go because they took to long for our orders to get to our table, but I must be honest the food was great and the Gator tacos were yummy
We walked in with the intention of just going to the gift shop and getting ice cream but the wonderful smells told us to take a sit and order some food. I ordered the fried pickle slices and split a six-topping pizza with a friend. The pickles slices and ranch were the best I've had in a long time. The batter was just right and seasoned well although they were a bit on the salty side. The pizza crust was thin and the sauce was tasty. They even have banana peppers which is my favorite topping for a pizza. The ice cream area was out of chocolate and strawberry when I was there so I went with a chocolate brownie milkshake. The milkshakes aren't thick but good. They don't make their own ice cream. It's the Edy's brand.
Great fare fresh from the Everglades. Reliable and clean restaurant good service. They also serve adult beverages.
I eat here 4 or 5 times a year in my US 41 travels. It's only a few miles off 41 and totally worth it. This time I took my daughter and dog (Dug) and since they have a pet friendly patio area it works out well. We both had the shrimp po-boy with fries. It took a little longer than usual, but the place was slammed with first timers so it's ok. The shrimp were fresh and lightly battered, the hoagie roll nice and soft, the lettuce and tomato crisp and fresh. The fries had a great crunch and were not greasy. Everything was perfect and our server was on his game. Well done!
Friendly service, good food as well. Pizza was very good!
Very traditional, warm welcome and tasty food. Loved the alligator bites too!
A great place for tasty fried seafood in Everglades city. There is also an ice cream parlor and it is always full of local color and local characters.
Had the fish and chips, has charm and historical decor. Gift shop on back.
Great Service! The young girls with great attitudes who served us work hard serving many tables. They checked on us multiple times, brought us anything we needed, and even offered our drinks to go. Salad and Pizza were delicious!
Wow! Stopped at Island Cafe, Everglades City, Florida for lunch! The food was excellent. Very friendly staff and atmosphere. Reasonable prices.
Food was "good". There aren't many choices in the city and this cafe came highly recommended. The meatball sub was super basic, but my family liked their gator bites and fish and chips. Service was extremely slow.
The best fried Oysters I ever had... Food was excellent, Service was excellent! Will be back again!
Amazing Place! I wouldnt eat anywhere else... We Live 1-1/2 hours away and will make this a regular stop just to have great food and the staff are so friendly and welcoming here...We had everything from gator bites through the philly sub and hot italian with the kids mac n cheese and burger and finished with ice cream and the AMAZING "FRIED KEY LIME PIE"!!!!Get Here And Enjoy What A Real Homestyle Diner Tastes Like and Should Be... Oohh.. I almost forgot... we took home some chicken soup and IT TASTED LIKE A Little Old Southern Lady Had Hand Made The Soup From The Morning and Was DELICIOUS...The Respect they showed Firemen coming in to eat from out of town to help in the 100 acre blaze was touching and a blessing... see yall soon!!!
It's so good we came here twice in one day. Great seafood great burgers awesome desserts places great.
Great little place. After the airboat tour we stopped in for lunch. Place was clean and staff was friendly. They do lunch, dinner and even boxed lunch for your adventure. The menu is loaded with local fare. So be adventurous and try something new. I had the gator burger and it was delicious.
Stopped here while riding Full Throttle poker run on 13- Jun. Food was good & they offered to serve my shrimp blackened which was not on menu. Service was friendly & attentive & portions were appropriately sized - not too much food but plenty. Fun atmosphere.
The food was good. Service a little slow. Good place to go if you're not in a hurry.
Just what you expect of a local diner in an interesting location off the beaten track. A good "down home" staff takes great care of you. The food portions are generous and very tasty. Prices are reasonable. A great place to grab a meal. Will visit there again.
Shrimp basket was oh so fresh !!! The grouper basket was tremendous as well.
Excellent food! Great service! Very nice people. My daughter had the steak from the kid's menu and she loved it! I had the clawn chauder soup and it was delicious. My husband had the NY steak and it was so juicy, great flavor, no sauce needed. It was a big portion that we shared. Highly recommended 👌
Waitress recommended the fish and chips. It was grilled grouper! Very tasty. Good service, too.
Good food, decent prices and service, down home diner feel. My go to in everglades city.
I did a search for restaurants in Everglades City and Island Cafe came up as an inexpensive place. The menu was varied and very reasonably priced. I ordered a seafood platter with crab cake, fish, shrimp, oysters, frog legs, fries, mixed vegetables, and a salad, my wife ordered fish tacos and a salad, and our son ordered the shrimp basket. We all had soft drinks. The bill came to a bit over $60. It was a very good value as we were all so full we had no room for dessert. The food was delucious! The waitress was very nice and friendly. It appeared to be a family owned place. I very much look forward to dining there again.
Wait staff was very good and if you like seafood this is the place for you because the french fries taste like fish, the chicken strips...go to one of the cafes near the air boats.
Had their ice cream. Actually, a milk shake made with Coffee ice cream. EXCELLENT!
3 1/2 to 4 stars Pub fare including alligator burger (see photo). They will prep and cook your fresh-caught fish. Casual place. Not fancy. Seat yourself. Table service. Pay in line at the register. Slow service. Don’t expect a quick in and out meal. Photos show portions of the menu.
There is not much to do inside this “city” during the summer besides doing a tour on an airboat and eating at this old fashioned restaurant. We had some tasty veggie wraps and burger. Stop by there and get a taste of the old fashioned Everglades vibe. 😜
We had a wonderful dining experience here on our visit to the Everglades. We got the gator basket, crab cake basket, burger and fries and calamari and cheese curds. Everything was cooked well and tasted great. The prices are really affordable too! It's a comfy, beach style diner. Would highly recommend.
"the shrimp scampi" is really good but it's not shrimp scampi. It should be called breaded shrimp. not sure why people have to take a famous loved dish and use the name when it's not. I've literally had shrimp scampi in probably 10 different States if you want to make breaded shrimp simply call it breaded shrimp. Just a little bit annoyed because I was expecting a shrimp scampi dish. I also asked if there was real garlic and I didn't taste any...I told that lady I hadn't had a good shrimp scampi in the South and she just proved me right
Popular lunch spot. Food/Service was good.
I love eating here. The staff is super friendly and the food is great. It's not a fancy place and you are treated like family.
A pleasure to stop in for a good simple meal. Live near by and always been consistent and good! Thanks for being here.
Great place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!!! Open later too. With liquor and beer.
I had the stake and all I have to say wow very good + the service was great very nice people.
While the Florida Keys might be known for their key lime pies, if your in the area, the Island Cafe should not be passed by. Their fried key lime pie is delicious, and it's really more of a deep fried burrito. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be found here with breakfast ending at 11am. Breakfast is very simple with offerings such as traditional egg platters, biscuits and gravy, french toast and a breakfast sandwich. Lunch and dinner offer mostly fried items. The bacon served for breakfast is a bit oily and only comes crispy which I personally hate and asked on 2 separate occasions for it to not be. Both times the request was ignored. Service is slow. They might be short staffed and the girl that mans the register isn't all that friendly. But if your in the area for some good fried food or key lime pie and have the time I recommend the stop!
No wore a mask so we had to take our food to go.
Had a good BLT lunch complete with hush puppies. Try the chicken caesar wrap! Fresh quality ingredients. Salads, sandwiches, wraps, pizza or ice cream. Nice family island atmosphere. Reasonably priced.
Good food, good prices and Erika our waitress was a sweet heart. She treated us like family.
I went with my family to have lunch. The food was good. We love the appetizers of onion rings and mushrooms. We got chicken burgers, veggie and shrimp wraps, chicken sandwish. The prices were affordable. The staff was very friendly.I reccomend this place for lunch.
We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at Island Cafe and it was great. Very friendly staff, not to expensive at such a remote location and great food. They have daily specials too.
Gator burger is delicious. tried the frog leg, also delicious. Mostly fried food.
Had pizza and a salad, both very good. Service was great, table keep clean and clear.
